What Is Shiroi Koibito Park, Where Sweets Meet Fantasy?

Shiroi Koibito Park is a sweets theme park operated by ISHIYA, the company behind the Hokkaido confectionery Shiroi Koibito.
It is in the Miyanosawa area, a little away from central Sapporo, and because it is also easy to access from the Otaru side, it has become a classic spot visited by many tourists.

In winter, snowmen greet you at the entrance.
In winter, snowmen greet you at the entrance.

The park is divided into a free area and a paid area, and one of its attractions is the wide range of ways to enjoy it without being affected by the weather.
In the free area, there are spots such as the Rose Garden and Tudor House, which has souvenir and bakery shops, making it easy to enjoy strolling, shopping, and light meals.
Meanwhile, in the paid area, CHOCOTOPIA FACTORY and CHOCOTOPIA MARKET are popular for factory tours and hands-on sweets-making experiences, and you can learn more deeply about the history of chocolate and Shiroi Koibito.
In addition to seeing the production lines, workshops where you can enjoy decorating original sweets are also well received, making them perfect for creating memories with family, as a couple, or with friends.
A good guideline for how long to stay is about 1 hour if you only tour and shop, or about 2 to 3 hours if you also want to enjoy experiences and meals.
Crowds increase on weekends and during time slots when sightseeing buses arrive in clusters, and especially during the winter illumination period, many visitors come in the evening as well.
If you want to take your time, plan to visit with plenty of time to spare.
