Shinagawa Kasho Kyoan
Gentle-tasting Western sweets, carefully handmade every day by skilled artisans to bring out the best in each ingredient.
A Western-style patisserie located along the Old Tokaido Road. Inside, you’ll find 40+ items at all times, including cakes, baked sweets, and seasonal treats made with peak ingredients.
The signature item, Shukuba Roll, features a satisfying sponge cake topped with smooth buttercream, rolled in a choux pastry shell sprinkled with walnuts. It’s an easy-to-love flavor you won’t get tired of, available in vanilla, matcha, and chocolate.
They also sell Shinagawa-only creative sweets such as Kabura and Shinagawa Kabure, made with the local Edo vegetable, Shinagawa turnip (both available only in winter, during harvest season). The certified Shinagawa souvenir Shinagawa Mangetsu is also a popular pick.
