Opened in January 2022, this is Hotel Okura’s first small luxury hotel. With the concepts of “Kyoto Okazaki”, “Higashiyama Culture”, and “Hereditary”, it creates the effect of an adult’s hideout. Inside the hotel are various themed decorations. The room number plates are themed after a tea container, a wire mesh light, textile art, and Nishijin art walls. The artworks displayed are by Kyoto-based artists, allowing guests to enjoy the modern beauty of Kyoto.
All 60 guest rooms are themed after “a mountain lodge in Higashiyama”. From the northern rooms, guests can take in a nature-filled view of “Okazaki BetsuinTemple”, and Higashiyama. 8 suite rooms are with a private balcony. The author, Tomoko Kawao and HOSOO Nishijin art creates a luxurious environment.
The hotel restaurant, “Nouvelle Epoque” serves the famous “Okura French”, with Kyoto tastes. An exclusive dish only served here.
