TARO CAFE

A popular sweets-and-coffee spot by the shore of Lake Inawashiro. The spacious cafe has large windows with lake views that change beautifully with the seasons, and the open terrace is especially popular in summer.

The menu is full of choices, including chiffon cake, cheesecake, and honey waffles topped with seasonal fruit and vanilla ice cream. Don’t miss the cream soda—its vibrant green color is part of the fun. There are also hot sandwiches made with house-made bread, just the right size for a light meal. Seasonal fruit desserts are available too, so you can enjoy flavors that match the time of year.

All coffee is house-roasted, with eight varieties such as the “Original Blend,” “Bitter Blend,” and “Almond Roast.” Beans are also sold in-store—perfect for finding a favorite. Takeout is available, and enjoying it while taking in Lake Inawashiro is highly recommended.
