Onna Seaside Civil Park, Nabee Beach
Soak up Okinawa beach time on a stunning stretch of blue water and white sand.
This village-run beach sits inside a seaside park on the west coast of Onna Village, one of Okinawa Island’s premier resort areas. In an area filled with resort hotel private beaches, it’s a rare spot you can use for free—an “ichanda beach” (a local term for a free-to-use beach). Even so, it’s well equipped with clean restrooms, lockers, and showers, so anyone can enjoy it comfortably.
Set inside a bay, the beach is known for calm waves, clear water, and a wide stretch of white sand. It’s also famous as a scenic beach with gorgeous views, including the cape with the popular lookout Manzamo, Manza Beach, and sunsets sinking into the East China Sea.
Beyond swimming, you’ll find plenty of marine activities to enjoy the Okinawan sea, from banana boat rides and sea kayaking to snorkeling. BBQ set plans are also available, so you can throw a beach party like a local.
