Tomita Sake Brewery “Shichihonyari Junmai Tamae”

A celebrated Lake Country sake that fits any occasion.

Last update :

A signature sake from a long-established brewery founded along the Hokkoku Kaido road at the foot of Mt. Shizugatake, carrying on 480 years of history. It’s brewed in the traditional deep-winter style using spring water from the Okuibuki mountain range—highly regarded and often called “sacred water”—and “Tamae,” a locally grown sake rice.

Its hallmark is a balance of generous rice umami and crisp, clean acidity. Enjoy it across a wide range of temperatures, from chilled to hot, as it shows different flavors and expressions at each. It pairs well with many dishes, from Japanese cuisine to Chinese and Western, making it a versatile choice for all kinds of occasions. In particular, its rich, rounded taste creates a wonderful match with hearty miso flavors and sweet-and-savory seasonings. It also pairs nicely with creamy Western dishes, and thanks to its all-around appeal, it’s a reliable staple at the family table.
