Right next to the park, you'll find the Maritime Museum, the Okura Kobe Hotel, and Kobe's famous Port Tower—all just a short walk away. The park's koi fish statue is also a well-known landmark here.

There's an AEON supermarket in the basement of umie mall. They have ready-to-eat food, drinks, and fresh fruit. Shopping here made me really happy!

It's right inside Ueno Park. On a hot day, I came in to cool off and was surprised to find so many creative works on display in this museum. Plus, there's no admission fee.

The weeping cherry trees here are huge and stunning—no wonder they're among Japan's top 100 cherry blossoms. The samurai houses are also the most iconic Edo-period samurai street, so it's no surprise Kakunodate is called the 'Little Kyoto of Mutsu.'
