Walking on a frozen lake for the first time was honestly pretty mind-blowing. It felt kind of unreal.
Ice fishing was a lot of fun, but whether you actually catch anything really comes down to luck.

This place is seriously so cool. Seeing the whole village made of ice in person felt totally unreal.

The view from the observation deck is pretty nice, but there are only a few fixed spots, so it doesn’t take long to see everything.

If you happen to catch the sunset, you’ll really feel like the trip was worth it.

This place really has that classic Japanese yatai feel. The atmosphere is done really well, and it has such a great vibe at night.
The food is pretty good too. The grilled skewers were well seasoned, but the prices are a bit on the high side. -

The forest-style setting goes really well with the winter atmosphere, and it looks great in photos too. If it’s too cold, you can sit indoors, but the terrace feels especially unique in winter.

The ingredients were very fresh, and many were locally sourced from Furano. The flavors were natural and not overly heavy. The steak and duck breast were both delicious, cooked really well, and the meat was very tender.

The overall atmosphere was really nice. It’s right by the harbor, so you can enjoy an ocean view, and it’s a great place for a relaxing walk. It really has that Hokkaido port city feel.
There are lots of seafood restaurants, and you can find crab, scallops, sea urchin, and more. The seafood was generally quite fresh. -
