The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building's observation deck is free to enter. You can really enjoy Tokyo's night view from here. I especially recommend going after it rains in winter when the air is clear! Weekday nights are also great. Since people in Tokyo work late, the city stays bright. I took some photos of the parts that still have that old-school Electric Town vibe!
These days, Akihabara feels a lot more centered on subculture, so the classic electronics district atmosphere has faded quite a bit. That’s a little sad, honestly. -

Yushima Tenmangu is known as the shrine of learning.
During exam season, it gets crowded with lots of visitors. The ema plaques are filled with wishes for school entrance exams and certification tests.
