Maebashi City Central Children's Amusement Park – Luna Park

Located in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, Maebashi City Central Children's Amusement Park – Luna Park first opened in 1954. This charming nostalgic amusement park captures the retro atmosphere of a bygone era.

Known as "Japan’s most affordable amusement park," entry is completely free. Rides are available at incredibly low prices, with large rides costing just 50 yen per ride, while electric wooden horses and smaller rides are only 10 yen each—making it a perfect place for young children’s first amusement park experience.

Inside the park, you’ll find vintage-designed attractions, including a classic merry-go-round and a steam locomotive, evoking a sense of nostalgia. A recent addition, the four-story wooden maze "Tokotoko Meijo" (available on weekdays only), is a popular attraction enjoyed by both children and adults alike.

On weekends and holidays, the park hosts entertainment events, including street performances and live storytelling, ensuring there’s always something fun happening. During the summer evenings, a special reservation-only event called "Lunapa DE Night" transforms the park with a magical nighttime illumination of the Flying Tower and Merry-Go-Round.
