Nagasaki Kaido Kamome Market

A souvenir shopping zone right in front of the ticket gates at JR Nagasaki Station, with Approx. 50 shops offering famous sweets, local specialties, and regional gourmet foods. It was developed in March 2022 to coincide with the opening of the Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen, as a place worthy of Nagasaki’s gateway. Directly connected to JR Nagasaki Station, it is known for its outstanding convenience not only for tourists using the station, but also for local residents.

It is broadly divided into three areas: the “Souvenir Zone,” where specialty products and local goods from across Nagasaki Prefecture are gathered, including castella sponge cake, famous Nagasaki sweets, and seafood, the “Local Restaurant” area, where you can enjoy Nagasaki specialties such as champon, sara udon, and Goto udon, and “Kamome Yokocho,” where you can enjoy local sake and Nagasaki’s regional cuisine in a lively alley-style setting. Goods related to the Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen are also sold here.

You’ll also find limited-edition and collaboration items available only here, making it a great place to shop for Nagasaki souvenirs. Some shops also offer live demonstrations, so you can enjoy freshly made and freshly fried items on the spot.
