Ushimado Olive Garden
A tourist farm where you can enjoy hands-on experiences and browse the shops while strolling through olive groves with views of the Seto Inland Sea.
A tourist farm with Approx. 2,000 olive trees planted across grounds of Approx. 10 hectares. Its hilltop setting offers open, scenic views, with the bright landscape of the Seto Inland Sea and its islands creating a scene worthy of the “Aegean of Japan.” As you walk through the grounds, you’ll come across scenic viewpoints overlooking the olive groves, and the scenery shifts with the seasons as flowers bloom and the fruit changes color.
There are also plenty of hands-on programs, including mini olive herbarium making and herb oil making, where you can enjoy time with plants while creating something with your hands. The directly operated Olive Shop on the first floor offers olive oil, cosmetics, and processed farm products, while the second floor has a roastery with sea views. The third and fifth floors are observation spaces, and you can also enjoy the scenery from inside the first floor of the building.
On the second floor, the roastery is a great place to enjoy cafe time while taking in views of the Seto Inland Sea. It’s also perfect for a relaxing break after a walk.
There are pet-friendly areas, so you can explore the outdoor areas together with your pet. Seasonal events are also held throughout the year, including an autumn harvest festival where you can pick olives.
