Keishokan Sazanatei

A hot spring inn proud of its open-air bath with spectacular views of the Seto Inland Sea right in front of you.

Last update :

Set along the coast of Tomonoura, an atmospheric port town in the Seto Inland Sea where streetscapes from the Edo period still remain, this is a hot spring inn full of charm. In 2024, the entire property, including the guest rooms, lobby, and dining areas, was renovated with a retro-modern look.

Among the baths, the most popular is the open-air bath, where you can feel as if you are connected to the sea right in front of you. Along with the large indoor public bath and private bath, guests can enjoy a fulfilling hot spring experience. Guests can also visit the baths at the sister property, Hotel Ofutei, located Approx. 5 minutes on foot from the inn.

The guest rooms feature a Japanese modern design that blends nostalgic charm with contemporary touches, led by the highest-grade Japanese-style room with an ocean-view open-air bath. Dinner is also highly regarded, with kaiseki cuisine featuring plenty of seafood from the Seto Inland Sea, including sea bream, a local specialty of Tomonoura.

In 2025, a private detached villa called "Villa ABI," created by renovating a nearby traditional Japanese house, opened nearby. This two-story accommodation, equipped with a kitchen and a cypress bath and accommodating up to 5 guests, offers a highly private space that combines convenience and charm.
