Sumibi Yakiniku Gyuren
Located in Tōkaichi Higashi, Miyoshi City, Sumibi Yakiniku Gyuren (Gankoya) is a specialty hub for kuroge wagyu beef, with the motto: “Kuroge wagyu must be grilled over charcoal.” The restaurant serves three premium Hiroshima beef brands-Hiroshima-gyu, Jinseki-gyu, and Hiba-gyu. The owner personally visits cattle auctions every month to purchase whole cattle, ensuring quality and authenticity with grading certificates. Only Hiroshima-raised female cattle, aged 28-30 months and graded A4 or higher, are selected, reflecting the restaurant’s uncompromising commitment to quality.
The meat quality is really good, with just the right amount of marbling. Grilling it brings out a rich aroma, and the charcoal flavor is a big plus. There are plenty of side dishes and sauces, so it doesn't get boring. The atmosphere is cozy and not too noisy, making it great for dinners with friends or date nights. Prices are moderate, and overall, it's a yakiniku place I'd definitely visit again.
