Matsuyama Castle
Matsuyama Castle is an iconic symbol of Matsuyama City, and it is also famous as being an impregnable castle.

Taking the ropeway is a unique experience. If you come to Matsuyama, you definitely have to visit Matsuyama Castle.
Kokyo Gaien National Garden
This park is located in the area outside the Main Gate to Japan’s Imperial Palace. At the center is the Garden Plaza, where green lawns are dotted with about 2,000 black Kuromatsu pine trees.

I came at just the right time—the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and looked beautiful.
Shukkeien Garden
Shukkeien Garden dates back to 1620 when Asano Nagaakira, the feudal load, ruled the Hiroshima area and ordered the construction of the garden for his villa.

I really love the style of Japanese garden landscaping here!
Hiroshima Castle
Hiroshima Castle was built in 1589 by Terumoto Mori, known as one of the five dignitaries of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The castle is located in the center of Hiroshima city, famous as a major tourist attraction with easy access.

Even though the current main keep was rebuilt in 1958, there are still lots of historical items and documents preserved inside. There's also a coin-operated telescope and a souvenir coin machine on the top floor.
Tokyo Dome City
This is a huge leisure facility complex that is centered around Tokyo Dome, which is famous as a baseball stadium. An amusement park, restaurants, shops and a hotel surround the massive Tokyo Dome.

The rides are super thrilling and exciting! The one-day pass is only JPY 3,200, so you can have a blast all day.
Yoshino-yama Ropeway
Mt.Yoshino has been famous for cherry blossoms since olden times and was registered as a World Heritage. In the early Showa period, a ropeway opened connecting both stations of the current Senbon-guchi and Yoshino-yama, behind this background, a founder had a desire that “I want to make a ropeway to carry people on Mt.Yoshino”. The ropeway has been loved by tourists of Mt. Yoshino for over 90 years.
I took the Kintetsu Limited Express from Osaka to Yoshino Station. After leaving the station, it's just a few minutes' walk to the Senbon-guchi Ropeway Station. Riding the oldest ropeway in Japan up the mountain was a smooth experience, and I was able to avoid the traffic jams on the road.
GRANSTA TOKYO
GRANSTA TOKYO is JR East’s largest train station mall. The huge open space with the sign “SQUARE ZERO” hosts select sweets shops, cafes, restaurants and general stores, which looks like a town itself.

This place is so much fun to explore, it doesn't even feel like a train station! I almost missed my scheduled Shinkansen because I lost track of time! 🤣
