Hida-no-Sato
Hida Region’s historical precious homes are brought and restored in Hida no Sato. A-framed houses that bore the weight of heavy snow or thatched roof homes, four of which are designated as national important cultural properties, are passing on the nostalgic farm village scenery into the future.
These are traditional Japanese gassho-zukuri houses, but honestly, the scale and fame just can't compare to Shirakawa-go. Still, there are way fewer tourists here, so you can really enjoy the peaceful vibe.
