Takachiho Gorge
Takachiho Gorge is a narrow v-shaped chasm made over thousands of years by the Gokase River’s erosion of Mt. Aso’s volcanic rock. This spectacular place is surrounded by cliffs that average 80 meters in height (reaching up to 100 meters) and extend along for 7 kilometers. Takachiho Gorge has been designated as a National Place of Scenic Beauty.
I came here because of the photos I saw online, but the actual scenery isn't as beautiful as advertised.
Kuromon Market
Kuromon Market in Minami, the heart of Osaka, is said to have started around 1822 and was approved as an official market by Osaka Prefecture in 1902. The market got the name “Kuromon Market (Black gate market)” because the gate to Enmyoji Temple near the market was black. Since then, it has been loved as Osaka’s favorite kitchen, and it has become a popular tourist attraction these days.
It felt just like a market in Hong Kong—everyone around me was speaking Cantonese.

Shinminato Kittokito Ichiba Fisherman’s Wharf
It is a fish market located at Shinminato Fisherman's Wharf that sells freshly caught seafood from Toyama Bay. Visitors can enjoy seasonal sashimi, seafood rice bowls, and set menus at reasonable prices, as well as grill and eat fresh seafood, at restaurants and eat-in spaces.
After buying your ingredients, you can pay a little extra to have them cooked for you. It's a great way to enjoy cheap seafood here.
