The spring water is super clear and clean. It tastes really sweet, and I bet it would be fantastic for making tea.

Shosenkyo Ropeway
Over in Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park you’ll find the Shosenkyo Ropeway volleying travelers up to Shosenkyo Gorge, a Nationally Designated Special Place of Scenic Beauty famed as Japan’s most beautiful gorge.
The air up in the mountains is super fresh and a bit cool—perfect for escaping the summer heat! The ride from the base to the top isn't long, but the view is amazing. On clear days, you can even see Mt. Fuji!

Senkoji Park
Mt. Senkoji, with an altitude of 144.2 meters, is one of three mountains of Onomichi City. The park is located halfway up the mountain. The cable car provides an easy 3 minute access point from the city, and you can see the entire cityscape of the Japanese Heritage City of Onomichi.
You can drive straight up to the parking lot on the mountain, but there aren't many spaces available. It's a short walk to Senkoji, and you get a great view of Onomichi City. Definitely a spot you shouldn't miss.

Katsushika Shibamata Tora-san Museum
Katsushika Shibamata Tora-san Museum is a popular spot located within Shibamata Park about three minutes on foot past Shibamata Taishakuten.
You can see what life was like for Japanese people in the old days here. The iron office desks and printing machines especially brought back a lot of childhood memories for me.
