I really love this kind of traditional countryside lifestyle. I hope I can build a house like this and enjoy my retirement here someday.

MOL Sunflower (Kansai–Beppu Route)
The new Sunflower ferries Sunflower Kurenai and Sunflower Murasaki, which began service in 2023, connect Osaka and Beppu with overnight journeys departing in the evening and arriving the following morning. The trip itself becomes a highlight of your journey, offering a luxurious and relaxing experience.
Feels just like being on a mini cruise! The facilities are comfy and clean, so you can relax and watch the sea. You arrive in Beppu the next morning—such a chill way to travel!

THE OUTLETS HIROSHIMA
Located in Hiroshima’s Saeki Ward, THE OUTLETS HIROSHIMA is one of the largest outlet malls in the Chugoku and Shikoku region, spanning approximately 268,000 square meters and featuring around 220 stores.
I recommend the okonomiyaki place here—the flavor is super authentic and you don't have to wait long.

Okadera Temple
In the year 663 during the Asuka period, this ancient temple was built by the monk Gien, from the wishes of Emperor Tenji. It became Japan’s first sacred site to ward off evil. It is known as “Okadera” as it is located in Oka, but its real name is Ryugaiji temple.
The surroundings are peaceful, and the scenery changes beautifully with each season. It's especially stunning during cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons.
