The exhibits here are totally different from traditional zoos and aquariums. You can interact directly with the animals, and the art concept makes it all feel really fresh and fun!

Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine
Dazaifu Tenmangu is the head shrine of 10,000 different shrines across Japan dedicated to the spirit of Sugawara Michizane. Sugawara was an acclaimed scholar who was deemed innocent posthumously after being exiled to Dazaifu by Kyoto’s Imperial Court. The main hall was built over his grave and has been preserved as a sacred site of Tenjin worship for over 1100 years.
There were quite a lot of people, but the flow was pretty smooth so it didn’t feel chaotic.
You’ve got to try the umegae mochi on the approach to the shrine.
Fresh off the grill and nice and hot, it tastes great. -

Osaka Great Sky Art Fireworks
The fireworks event is held at Rinku Park, located across from Kansai International Airport. First launched in 2022 as "Osaka Bay Rinku Art Fireworks," the event was renamed "Osaka Great Sky Art Fireworks" in 2024.
The fireworks were stunning right from the very first one, and the grand finale was so breathtaking I was left speechless.

Toya Lake Cruise
A sightseeing boat that cruises around Lake Toya, formed by a volcanic eruption about 110,000 years ago. Departing from the station-side pier at Toyako Onsen, the 50-minute cruise offers stunning views of Mount Yotei, Mount Showa-Shinzan, Mount Usu, and the islands collectively known as Nakajima-including Ōshima, Bentenjima, Kannonjima, and Manjūjima.
Seeing the mountains and sky around Lake Toya from the boat felt like watching a moving watercolor painting. I really enjoyed the slow pace of cruising on the lake—super relaxing~
