After checking out the observation deck, you can head down to grab a bite and do some shopping. This is one of my favorite places to visit.

Tsukimachi Falls
A 17-meter-tall, 12-meter-wide waterfall on the Ouse River, part of the Kuji River system. Normally, it’s a “married couple” waterfall with two side-by-side streams, but when the water volume increases due to rain, a smaller “child” waterfall appears, becoming a “parent and child” waterfall. It’s said to have been named for this shape: women would gather to wait for the moonrise on the 23rd night and pray for safe childbirth and good fortune, a folk belief custom known as “Tsukimachi.”
Tsukimachi Falls feels so magical and otherworldly. The moment I walked in, I honestly felt like I’d stepped into a fairytale.

Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter
The traditional streets of the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter feature white walled warehouses, grid pattern walls, Namako-kabe, and rows of weeping trees, creating a beautiful and charming townscape. This harmonious and historic scenery is very popular with tourists.
It’s a great place to relax and take a leisurely trip. The shops along the way are super friendly, and it’s definitely worth a visit.

Kuju Flower Park
Kuju Mountain Range and the Five Peaks of Aso surround this park on Kuju Highland in Aso-Kuju National Park. Taste the fresh air and enjoy the vibrant flowers in each season.
The huge fields of flowers here are absolutely mesmerizing, and you can see them in bloom all year round.
