There's a really retro old street on the way to Shinshoji Temple. The famous spot here is Kawatoyo's grilled eel—freshly grilled, fatty, and delicious, served with a clear soup made from eel innards. Super tasty!

Ritsurin Garden
Used as a villa by the Matsudaira clan of Takamatsu, Ritsurin Garden was completed nearly 300 years ago by successive generations of feudal lords who renovated it. While the sprawling strolling garden covers 16 hectares, the total area of this park, including Mount Shiun in the background, extends to an impressive 75 hectares!
Such a peaceful place. As soon as you walk in, you automatically slow down. The little bridges, flowing water, pine trees, and ponds—every view feels so poetic.

Chiba Port Tower
This 125m (410 ft) landmark tower was built in 1986 to commemorate Chiba’s population exceeding 5 million. To counter the swing, a 15-ton dynamic vibration absorber was placed on the top floor, which was the first attempt in Japan.
I saw the tower while passing by—it's really eye-catching! Didn't have time to go up and check it out though.

Mother Farm
“Mother Farm” exists on over 250 hectares of vast land. Here you’ll find yourself welcomed by various animals, including sheep, alpacas, capybaras, and ostriches. Not only can you watch the animals, but you can even feed them, milk cows, ride horses, and more!
You can get up close with the animals here, and the sheep show is really fun to watch.
