Beautiful ocean views and a cool bridge-opening show. There are museums and exhibition halls, making it a great spot for a nostalgic trip.

Magome Inn
“Nakasendo” is one of the five highways that were constructed during the Edo period to connect Kyoto and Edo. Magome Inn is the 43rd post town on the Nakasendo. It is an inn town along a slope paved with stone pavement, and you can feel the atmosphere of the Edo period. Both sides of the road are lined with stores selling freshly baked gohei-mochi (rice cakes), oyaki (wheat cakes), etc., where you can enjoy eating and strolling.
This charming old road is lined with shops selling crafts, souvenirs, and restaurants on both sides.

Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine
Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine is a historic shrine that is said to have been built around 1500 years ago. The main shrine features elaborate engravings, and it has been designated as a National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property.
In summer, the shrine is decorated with special wind chimes for good luck. The chimes are shaped like sea bream, and their Japanese pronunciation sounds like 'I want to see you.' That's why so many couples come here.
