The fireworks are launched from boats on the lake, and the reflections on the water are just stunning!

Kanazawa Castle & Kenrokuen Four Seasons Tale
Known as the residence of the 14th generation of the Maeda family of the Kaga Clan, "Kanazawa Castle", and the large garden "Kenrokuen" constructed in its outer citadel, are representative tourist attractions of Ishikawa and Kanazawa. Kenrokuen is famous as one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan and has been designated as a special place of scenic beauty by the national government.
If you have time, after visiting Kenrokuen, it's nice to stroll around Kanazawa Castle Park and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art nearby.

Kawasaki Daishi Heikenji Temple (Kongosan Kinjoin Heikenji)
Kawasaki Daishi is considered the birthplace of the "Hatsumode" tradition. Every year during the first three days of the New Year, approximately 3 million people visit for worship.
It's one of the top three temples for New Year's visits in the Kanto area, but usually it's not crowded at all. Compared to Sensoji, it feels a lot less lively.

TOKYO Solamachi
With a wide variety of over 300 shops gathered in this retail complex, you can feel the liveliness of Tokyo’s shitamachi downtown.
Since this spot is super famous, there are huge lines for the Skytree, and even the shopping street is packed with people. But once you get up to the observation deck, all the stress just melts away.
