Kiyoken "Old-fashioned shiumai

About 800,000 shiumai are produced daily according to a recipe that has remained unchanged since the product's launch.
The signature product, "The old-fashioned Shiumai," has been a long-time favorite souvenir of Yokohama since it was first sold in 1928.

Kiyoken was founded in Yokohama in 1908. The shiumai was born out of the desire to create a specialty of Yokohama.
The soy sauce container in the shiumai box is called "Hyou-chan" and shows various expressions such as a smiling face and an angry face.

The bite-size portion that keeps you picking for it one after another, and the rich flavor of Japanese pork and dried scallops from Okhotsk, are the distinguishing characteristics.
Six types of shiumai are available, including the classic "Old-fashioned shiumai," the rich, juicy, and fluffy "Deluxe Shiumai," and the "Shrimp Shiumai" with the addictive plump texture of the large cut shrimp.

The vacuum-packed shiumai, developed with the hope that people living far away would enjoy them, can be stored at room temperature for five months after production, making it a perfect souvenir.
