Kawabata no Yuyado Takitei
Enjoy a luxurious stay at a hot spring inn surrounded by the natural beauty of Kanazawa's inner retreat.
The closest hot spring inn to Kanazawa Station, set in the satoyama landscape along the Sai River and beloved by Kanazawa-born writer Saisei Muroo.
There are three different guest room buildings. “Hanare Saikawa” features open-air baths in every room overlooking the flowing river. “Tsubakatei” offers rooms facing a beautiful garden with scenery that changes through the seasons. “Bettei Tatsumitei” is known for its distinctive rooms, including Japanese-modern Western-style rooms and Japanese-style rooms with waterfall-view baths. The hot spring, also known as “Tsuru Tsuru no Yu,” is a mildly alkaline spring that moisturizes the skin and is reputed to leave it silky smooth, just as its name suggests. In addition to the large public bath with open-air and indoor baths, natural hot spring water can also be enjoyed in some guest rooms.
Dinner features beautifully presented kaiseki cuisine made with Kanazawa ingredients from the sea and mountains. Special plans featuring premium ingredients such as Noto beef and snow crab are also popular. Facilities are also extensive, including a waterfall viewing platform where you can relax while looking out at the inn’s symbolic waterfall, as well as libraries in three locations with more than 7,000 books, allowing guests to spend their time here in their own style.
