Ishikawa Prefectural Tourism and Local Products Center

Next to Kenrokuen, one of Japan’s three most celebrated landscape gardens, this local products center brings together the best of Ishikawa in one place. Inside, a wide variety of traditional crafts such as Kutani ware, Kaga Yuzen silk dyeing, and Wajima lacquerware are displayed and sold, letting visitors appreciate their intricate techniques and beauty up close. You’ll also find famous sweets, local sake, seafood, and many other products, making it an ideal spot to shop for souvenirs.

There is also a hands-on experience area with a wide range of activities, including painting Kaga Hachiman Okiagari dolls, making Japanese sweets, applying gold leaf, and preparing your own matcha, so you can experience Ishikawa Prefecture’s traditional crafts and artisan skills firsthand.

Also on site are Saryo Tomuro, where you can enjoy traditional Japanese sweets and matcha, and Omicho Kaisendonya Hirai, where you can savor fresh local seafood in rice bowls and sushi. Be sure to enjoy the flavors of Ishikawa as well.
