Steak Ishida
A hidden gem steak restaurant where you can enjoy premium branded beef cooked on the teppan right in front of you.
Steak Ishida is located about a 4-minute walk from Kawaramachi Station on the Kotohira Line. Despite being close to the station, this special 16-seat space feels removed from the bustle. A distinctive feature is the chef grilling the meat on a teppan set in front of the seats, with lively flames rising as it cooks.
Lunch comes in three options: Filet Steak Lunch, Filet Steak Lunch with Foie Gras, and Steak Lunch. The restaurant also serves a Hamburger Steak Lunch made with 100% Olive Beef from Shodoshima, limited to 10 servings per day. For dinner, there are three courses centered on filet cuts of branded beef such as Sanuki beef. The Sanuki beef course comes with prosciutto. Rice included with the course can be changed to garlic rice for an additional fee. Steaks can also be ordered à la carte. Other offerings include seafood such as kuruma prawn, scallops, squid, and abalone, as well as foie gras and seasonal dishes.
The interior includes counter seating and box seats, with 16 seats in total. It is a hideaway-like space where small groups such as couples can relax and enjoy a quiet time.
